More Shiloh Superlatives

I came across a comment from Huntsville coach Ken Harriman on Friday night that I found interesting. The comment was about Shiloh Christian after the Saints cruised to yet another mercy-rule win, this one a 42-7 win over the Eagles.

All season, we’ve talked around the office about the reason behind Shiloh’s success — its offensive and defensive lines. Sure, the Saints have more than their share of skill position talent, but what I’ve kept telling people is that their skill position talent is on par with other top Class 4A teams, namely Gravette.

It’s their lines, which I think are among the best in the state — on any level — that make them great and give them the ability to dominate a team like Gravette, as the Saints did in a 49-14 win two weeks ago.

So, I found this interesting from Harriman on Friday night when I asked about Shiloh’s lines:

“On the perimeter, they’re like Gravette,” Harriman said of Shiloh. “But I’ve got to tell you, in the box they’re not like anybody else. They’re really good, really good.”

That’s exactly what I’ve been saying, coach.
